Terms of Service

1. Agreement. 
   These Terms of Service apply to use of the SmartChains website, dashboards, workpapers, reports and related on-chain fund analysis services provided by SmartChains, operated by Searing Heat Limited. By accessing the website or using the services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services. 
   SmartChains provides on-chain fund analysis, portfolio reporting, customized dashboard views, API-assisted research and review workflow support for digital asset portfolios. Services may include analysis of client-authorized wallets, DeFi positions, transaction activity, portfolio records and related reporting inputs.

3. Website content. 
   The website and its content are provided for general business information. Product descriptions, examples, visuals and service descriptions may change over time and may not represent every feature, workflow or engagement scope available to a specific client.

4. Analytical outputs. 
   Dashboards, reports, workpapers and review records are informational and analytical in nature. They are prepared from client-authorized information, available on-chain records, client-provided materials and agreed reporting inputs. Clients remain responsible for reviewing outputs and determining how they are used within their own business workflows.
   SmartChains provides analytical, operational and technology workflow support only. SmartChains does not provide investment advice, discretionary portfolio management, brokerage, custody or transaction execution services.

5. Client-authorized information. 
   Clients are responsible for ensuring that wallet lists, portfolio records, reporting inputs, API access details, instructions and other information provided to SmartChains are accurate, current and authorized for use in the relevant engagement.

6. Third-party API references. 
   When requested by a client, SmartChains may connect third-party APIs needed for more detailed analysis and include relevant references in reports.

7. Accounts and authorized users.\
   Where access credentials, dashboards or shared workspaces are provided, clients are responsible for managing authorized users, maintaining credential confidentiality and promptly notifying SmartChains of suspected unauthorized access or changes in user authority.

8. Acceptable use.=
   Clients may only submit addresses, records and data they are authorized to use. Clients are responsible for using the service in accordance with applicable laws and their own internal policies.
   
   Clients may not use the website or services to interfere with system security, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected areas, reverse engineer service components, misrepresent authority over submitted data or use outputs for unlawful purposes.

9. Engagement scope and fees.
   Specific deliverables, timelines, service levels, fees, payment terms and reporting cadence may be set out in an order form, statement of work, invoice, email confirmation or other written agreement. If a separate written agreement applies, that agreement controls to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.

10. Confidentiality and data handling.
    SmartChains handles client information, wallet lists, portfolio records, reports and workpapers separately for each engagement. Both parties should protect confidential business information received in connection with the services and use it only for the relevant engagement or other agreed business purpose.

11. Intellectual property.
    SmartChains and its licensors retain rights in the website, service design, software, templates, methodologies, visual style, documentation and other materials developed or provided by SmartChains. Subject to payment of applicable fees and any engagement terms, clients may use delivered reports, dashboards and workpapers for their internal business review workflows.

12. Feedback.
    If you provide suggestions, requests or feedback about the website, dashboards, reports or services, SmartChains may use that feedback to improve its offerings without creating any obligation to implement a specific feature or change.

13. Availability and changes.
    SmartChains may update, modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or services as needed for maintenance, security, product development, operational reasons or changes in business requirements. We aim to handle material service changes in a commercially reasonable manner.

14. Electronic communications.
    You agree that service notices, operational updates and business communications may be provided by email or other electronic means. Electronic communications may involve security risks, and clients should use appropriate care when sharing sensitive information.

15. Privacy.
    Use of the website and services may involve processing information as described in the SmartChains Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy for more information about data handling.

16. Disclaimers.
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. SmartChains uses reasonable care in preparing analytical materials, but available on-chain records, protocol activity, labels and client-provided records may contain delays, gaps, errors or changes outside the service workflow.

17. Limitation of liability.
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmartChains will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity or goodwill arising from use of the website or services. Any liability connected with a paid engagement will be limited to the amount paid for the relevant services giving rise to the claim, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

18. Indemnity.
    Clients agree to indemnify and hold SmartChains, Searing Heat Limited and their personnel harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from unauthorized or unlawful use of submitted data, breach of these Terms, violation of applicable law or misuse of the website, dashboards, reports or services.

19. Termination.
    SmartChains may suspend or terminate access to the website, dashboards or services where required for security, non-payment, breach of these Terms, unauthorized use, legal requirements or other material operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

20. Updates to these Terms.
    SmartChains may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date on this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the website or services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
